Here is a tough one.  I just bought a scoped Remington Model 77 in outstanding condition, but the reticle of the scope is substantially off-center.  No problem there, as I have an extra vintage Weaver K4 in excellent shape that I simply planned on swapping out - throwing the old scope away.

My dilemma is that now that I have the old scope off, I realize that it is a one-piece steel tube in mint condition other than the reticle problem, and repair might make way more sense than the trash can.  But what gives me pause is that I've never heard of this scope and can't find ANYTHING about it on the Net.  I don't want to sink money into repairing a "junk" scope.

So I appeal to the expertise on this board to help me identify the manufacturer.

The scope is marked  "4X  LUPINUS".  Engraved into the tube is "4 x 28.5   MOP   Japan".

Any help will be appreciated.

What can I say I bought a John Deere Disc at a farm auction in Creston for about $250 and it needed a few of the blades replace so I had the JD dealer in Creston Iowa pick it up and asked them to replace the broken blades. When I got it back from them their bill was over $1500.  Within a year I had to sell that farm and when I auctioned that disc I got $150 for it. There are times when it just doesnt pay to repair something.
