Could someone rank the following scopes on optical quality, control of flare, and accuracy and repeatability of the knobs.  Any other comments are also welcome.

Leupold Rimfire (or Ultralight) EFR  3-9x33mm   11oz    11.3"    4-3mmER        $350
Sightron S2 Rimfire w/ AO             3-9x36mm   14oz    12.3"    4.2-3.5mmER   $290
Burris Mini/Compact w/AO             3-9x32mm   13oz    10.4"    5-3.75mmER    $260
Weaver Classic Rimfire w/AO         3-9x32mm   12oz    11.3"    3.7-3.3mmER   $210
Simmons .22 Mag 1022T w/AO      3-9x32mm   12oz    11.5"    3.5mmER         $120

Thanks much.

Optically Sightron should be better than the rest of these, then Burris, Leupold.Weaver and Simmons in that order.  For control of flare you really have to look at them side by side, but I have a two Burris (Compact and Fullfield II), two Sightrons (S1 and S2) and one Leupold (scout).  I've also owned a few other scopes from these manufacturers over the years and flare has never been a major problem.  I've experienced pretty significant flare in cheaper Leupold (Rifleman.VX-1) and Nikon (Pro-Staff and early Buckmaster) models but not in a VX-2 and never in a Sightron or a Burris.  Maybe I just got lucky.

Accuracy and repeatability of adjustments would be best in Sightron S2 due to their excellent ExacTrack adjustment system.  Adjustment range is also the biggest in Sightron (80" at 100 yards vs 64" for Leupold and 50" for Burris).

You are welcome.

Keep in mind though that this is just my experience.  If possible, try to go and compare different scopes side by side and see how they work with your eye.
