Hello everyone.

I have recently picked up a spotting scope about which I am having more difficulty than expected in finding information. If anyone can help me even identify the maker of the the scope I would be rather grateful.

The scope is ~17" (overall length), olive green coated aluminum, and 15-50 x 60mm optics. The only identifying marks say "von werner", "No. 12749" and "D=60mm".

If no one has any information, at least I only paid $15 for it. It seems to work really well for my purposes (range spotting up to 500 yards).

Thanks for you time.

First the Magnification range seems to be very high for the way I was heading...

The link has been removed...

If it is a GMBH Von Werner, he should have glass similar to a Wetzlar, GMBH or similar to Hensoldt/Zeiss, or Kahles/Swarovski, If it is an earlier scope but without pics it is near impossible.  But for the $$ it doesn't make a lot of sense...  Some of the big names even had other factories and even local shops like Busch, Goerz, Hensoldt, Leitz, Voigtlander and Zeiss.

Could someone help him via pm to post pics?  Some of the early Factories had off-shoots that are not easily "search-able" over here so we have to use their servers to find it...

Or it could be a less expensive Yukon but without more indications or Pics it is a very big stab in the Dark.

Just a few names of facilities that made or assembled during and after the War...
