Are the Cabelas brand scopes worth anything? Anyone know who makes them? I'm looking for another scope for a 338 or 300WSM, I already have a 3x9 Leupold VXI. I'm thinking about the Burris fullfield 2.

I have an Alaskan Guide 3 - 12 x 52mm w/ 30mm tube on my 300 winmag. It's definitely not the clearest scope edge to edge and the eye relief is 3 " throughout the power range, but it holds zero well and is consistent and rugged. Has a plex reticle and finger turrets which operate well , also has dust caps for them. The 52mm obj doesn't gather light quite as well as I would like, but I have been pretty pleased with it. The main thing is it stays zeroed. Off hand, I think they are made in Japan, but I don't have the papers here to confirm.
