I'm sure it's just a knock off of the the BSA Sweet-17 which uses a ballistic bullet drop dial calibrated for the .17.

Basically you remove the dial and sight it in at the lowest yardage marked on the dial, then reinstall the dial.  Anytime you want to change your "Zero", you simply turn the dial to the corresponding yardage and hold dead on.

Precisely calculated to compensate for the elliptic drop of a .17 grain bullet. The technology comes from trajectory compensation scopes that were designed for military snipers. Built with technical precision for extreme performance.

BSA 6-18x40.....$109.95 with FREE Boresighter Kit

No it's not a knok-off of a BSA!!  It's much higher quality for one thing.  We got a couple of them, and they work really well.  They range OK, and are very clear for the $$'s spent.  Good luck with yours!!

I own the 6-18X40 and it is one of my favorites now.
I sighted it over the weekend and it is a fine scope for the money.
