Well my wife has given me the green light on purchasing my own christmas gift.  As you can see I have been on this site many times getting all sorts of great input.  I have finally narrowed it down to the Cabelas Euro(Meopta) and the Vortex Talon HD.  I will be taking one of these on my first Elk hunt in NW Montana next year (Lord Willing) and I want these binos to last a long time.  I'm looking for a rugged bino, that is user friendly for eye glasses and that will not let me down.  I don't want my guide looking at game that I cannot see, because of inferior glass.  After doing a lot of research I have decided on the two. If any of you could help or have experience with either, I would like to hear about the good, bad and ugly of both.  thanks

I have been using the Euro for 4 or 5 years and have been very happy with them.  Glass is great and they are very durable.  That would be my choice.  
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

Have not look at either one but I still want to own the meopta's. I have read alot of reviews and talked to folks that have them and it seems pretty much all positive...imo  also try a search here at the forum and you will find the same.

Since durability is a priority, the Euro is the way to go.
