I wish you luck. Essentially the USA no longer permits for such items to be shipped outside of their country, thanks to terrorists.

If you buy one from the USA you can bet the seller will have a long line of black suburbans pulling up out front. Then you may find it very hard to travel if your name gets on a terrorist watch list. Rumor here is that Spanish body cavity searches are really bad since the Train and bus attacks over there.

  Hey Alacrane,
First off I want to say THANK YOU!! for your service in helping to stop the ongoing spread of terrorism in the world and in the attempt to wipe it out.

Try this e-mail or phone number and explain your situation. Because they are a competitor I can't display their name.  HOPEFULLY they can help you:

    1-570-220-3159

Let us know the outcome if you would.  And again your English is just fine.

Here is the link to SWFA export policy. The State Dept. policy is vague in many areas and thus it is loosely administered. It can be financially devastating for most companies to fight this on a case by case enforcement. At this time we are under an administration that is not operating fully within the intent of the U. S Constitution. Sorry but then I did not vote them into office.

Our President pretends that he is pro-gun.  However, his Cabinet and other appointees are anything but pro-gun, for the most part!

Bush was pro gun he had the same rules so has nothing to do with the new administration other then them not changing it. I can't believe US optic retailer don't raise hell about lost sales but then out of US sales maybe small but still the US not letting scopes out not like its a gun just a scope. Just my rant by the way hi all.

You gotta remember that France, England and to an extent Canada are heavily muslim and not necessarily pro-USA, at least not their familiy's back in the Middle East.  I don't want Leupold VX-3 scopes being used by Iraqi Insurgent snipers!  This is why we have controls on certain technology exports.

ALACRANESTEPARIO,

  • Customers located in the following countries may return riflescopes to the product service facility in their country or the Leupold factory WITHOUT import/export licensing requirements:

AUSTRALIA, BELGIUM, DENMARK, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, ICELAND, ITALY, JAPAN, LUXEMBOURG, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, NEW CALEDONIA, PORTUGAL, SCOTLAND, SPAIN, TURKEY, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM

If you live in Spain you don't need to have any export license for scope from over here. Someone can ship it to you without any problems.

I could never believe how can be dangeourous a Leupold scope if restrictions like that exist. Mortal weapon. Hope President Obama gonna make another law to have a background check for everyone who buying just a scope in this country to prevent potential terrorism.
