Good to see all the news anchors are unbiased.  I think he did an excellent job when she started trying to turn the interview.  My favorite part was when he said, "What!  You don't think God wants us to defend ourselves?"

They just hate it when the person they are interviewing is able to articulate what they are doing.  Far too many are caught up in the name AK-47.

Had not heard of the crappy news network referred to by those other names.

My only complaint is that its an ak... Wish it was an American weopon, but then you could probably use the voucher for the purchase for about anything.

Great post Chris.  He obviously is giving a voucher for an Ak-47, because they are less expensive.  Personally, I do not care if he gives a voucher for a 50bmg.  These liberal slobs cannot understand anything about guns and more importantly they do not want to learn.  Cathy McCarthy, I believe the name is right, author of HR1022, did not know what barrel shield was.  These people do not know that you can add an extended mag to almost any semi-auto shotgun and have probably a more effective defensive weapon.  Brainwashing, ignorance and just plain stupidity characterizes the liberal elitists, although I hate to use the term elitist and would rather use that term for us.  What a bunch of jerk.  Good for that guy.  I wish I needed a truck

Perhaps you fellas will enjoy this..... What does God have to say about defending youself with a firearm, anything?

Biblical basis for carrying a weapon in Luke 22?
The most important perspective to consider about anything in a person's life is what the Bible has to say. If only I was successful in its application as I SHOULD be.....

Someone on another forum... just today in fact, said that someone told them that "Any Christian that carries a pistol is a bad Christian" or something like that.  In reply to the woman he referenced Luke 22 as a basis for his Christian right to carry.  Here are basically the verses he referenced. I will assume everyone has a basic understanding of the background and sequence of events surrounding this section:

Quote:

Luke 22
33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
Of course in the remainder of the portion the officials attempt to sieze Jesus, Peter cuts off the ear of the guard, Jesus heals the guard and surrenders himself to fulfill the will of his Father. "Not my will but thine" Jesus says earlier in the passage.

What is most important to note is that it is crucial to be doing what GOD would have you to do, and that doesn’t just mean with regard to CCW either.

Third, it seems that with the developing situation of Jesus and the desciples... they must have expected that their enemies would be more fierce upon them than they had been in the past, as per v. 36 seems to suggest that we should be prepared if we expect peril.

Notice, though, that not EVERYONE was armed. In verse v. 38 we see that two is enough even though a multitude was advancing. Keep in mind though that Christ.... ergo the Lord..... doesn't really need any sword... but for his purpose things had to happen in this manner (v. 37). Apparently it was not the LORD’s intention that the disciples defend Jesus like the Rangers and Delta Force setting up a perimeter in Mogadishu around a black hawk down. This is crucial to understand here.

Here is an excerpt from Matthew Henry's Commentary....I just had it open so used it...

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition. Two cops on the phone are worth less to you than one gun in hand.
