Hi, all new to this forum looks like the place to ask for scope advice.

It has been a couple months now i cannot make up my mind. scope will be on a customized Rem 722 25/08. proably not shoot over 300 yards with this setup.

have any of you experience with any of the following:

Bushnell 7-21 3200
vxII 6-18
monarch 6-24
vxIII 6.5-20 varmit reticle

I have no experience with any of the above models.

this rifle has proven accuracy with the 20+ year old weaver K12 i can shoot sub 1/2" off the bench. looking for something variable with more power and better low light capabilities than the K12 offers.

Hello Arky65

The new Burris Signature Select scopes offer alot of features

for the money. My favorite model is the 4-16x44 Ballistic Mil-Dot

model. The low light glass performance will outshine all of the

above listed scopes. These scopes are very accurate and very

well made here in the USA.

Monarch, but I would consider less magnification.

The VXIII with the varmint reticle is nice too.

For longer range you can also pick up a Burris Black Diamond at a great price.

The Black diamond like the signature select offer alot of scope for the money.

Well guys thanks for the delayed responses. I still have not settled on a scope for this rifle as yet. I have an old Weaver Elpaso K12C3 sitting on it know and it punches paper so well I hate to take it off.

SVD666, thanks for the response.

Cheaptrick, thank you also for the response. Have you used the VXIII with the varmint reticle?

My concern with the Varmit Reticle or mildot is that being more of a paper puncher and having never used this type of reticle,  will I find the sight picture too busy.

And I have been rethinking the power to something like a 4-16 or so. I have a Vari X III 4-14 on a

22-250 that came off of my .260 that I just love but again it shoots in the mid 3's and i hate to take it off.

From the scopes you listed I believe that the Nikon Monarch is far & away the best of the bunch.  However, the Burris Signature Select and Black Diamond are excellent scopes in their own right.  Any of these three scopes will do you well.
