Good afternoon

Please advise about the quality of the Bushnell Trophy 3-9x42 because i am interesed
to buy one. Here, the price of the Trophy is the same of the 3200 in USA.

Thank you and best regards

I can speak to the durability of the scope. I put one on a friend's 12ga. Mossberg slug gun and it has held up very well for over 7 years. It has maintained it's zero sense it was sighted in. It may not be the brightest scope from Bushnell but it is bright enough for that lucky SOB to score nice deer year after year.

Thank you Roy Finn,

I pretend to use it on a Zastava, 30-06.
I do not know if this model have resistence enough to be used with this caliber.

Best regards

A 12ga. slug gun kicks alot more than a 30/06 unless the 30/06 weighs 5lbs.

I got a Trophy 3-9x40 for a friend who used it on a few rifles in 7.62x54R and 308Win.  It held up just fine.  All in all, it is a surprisingly nice little scope considering the cost.

Thank you for the informations.

I would like to buy a better scope  like the 4200, but it is very expensive for me here in Portugal.

The value of the Trophy is between 150 and 200 Euros.

Best regards

I've never seen one fail ( used on 308's and the like), and the optics are pretty good considering the cost.

I bought a 1.75x4 Trophy (Mine was made in Japan and cost about $175 at the time) about 6 years ago and had it on a Ruger #1 45-70, that I was handloading.  It was excellent untill I rechambered for .458 RCBS 3 1/4 and was wringing out 500 gr softpoint at about 21oo thru 2499 fps , and trhe scope started shifting point of impact?  I contacted their customer service and said I'd mention the excellent results, but what could they do for me?  They sent me a 1.75x6x38 B&O 4000 in exchange (about $200s more than the trophy) and I never ever had another problem.  I worked ups loads for this gun for another 2 years and no problems!

Bottom line to your question, The new Trophy's are made somewhere else and are much cheaper, and I wouldn't try one, but would recommend a Burris 2-7 or Bushnell 3200 2-7 and believe you will have better luck!Wink

I had a Trophy 1,5-6x44 mounted on Zastava 8x57IS,and it didn't hold zero.I would save some money and buy a good scope-it is cheaper at the end.

Cheers

I know this an old post. But here's my two cents. I put a 3-9 x40 trophy on my new 308 last year. I like it very much and has not given me any trouble at all. Good Scope for the money.
