I just picked up a used Marlin 336 35 rem. and it has this scope chief mounted on it and I was just looking for some info on it .  It has a range type turret on it. I was going to get a Vortex crossfire for it but if this would be better ,then it will stay. I had to remount it because the guy I bought it from who is a friend of the family said he has never even shot it and I believe him since the scope was mounted backwards , were you would be looking through the wrong end, hahaha.

I bought one of those a couple years ago at a gun show for a few bucks. I remembered them as being top of the line years ago for Bushnell so I figured I couldn't go wrong. Problem was it was good in good light, but it got real fuzzy quick in low light. Maybe things have come a long ways from when those were made, maybe there was something wrong with mine??

That was a good scope back in the late 70's early 80's.I would keep that over the Vortex Crossfire. As long as you have it mounted properly you have a good deer hunting rifle.

After i started playing with this scope i noticed that it is not working right it is a 3-9 but you can only be turn to 7 power then it stops so I'm going to need a new scope.

That scope was a very nice scope in the 70s and early 80s.  Mule deer are still the same.  I bet it would work just fine.  As long as it is pointed in the right direction.....

yeah the power ring turns but the power doesn't go up the only thing the power ring does is make the crosshair move off center so I sent it back to bushnell to see what they can do, if they can do anything but I wait and see
