Any cons on this scope ? Had one in my hands to buy but thought I'd better ask a bit first .  Want to mount it on my 30-06 ..... can she take the pounding ... ? Any aquisition  problems when cranked to full magnification ?

What do you use your -06 for?  Personally, I wouldn't put a 6-24 on an -06, but that's because its my Primary Deer rifle.

As for the 4200 taking the recoil of a 30-06 it will not be a problem at all. I think this is to much scope for this rifle. as a 3x9 is the most I would put on a 06 but thats just me. But to answer your question the 4200 will take anything you or the 30-06 can throw at it.

Let us know if you get it and how YOU like it. I know on here it has very good rating on members who have bought  and use one. Hit the serch function and read what everyone else have been saying about it. you will be happy with it.

FYI, they have two scopes in this power range.  One is much smaller and lighter, SWFA has both.  When I was lookin at them, I really liked the smaller one, but you need to check it for yourself.

Good luck.
