my friend called me last night & complaining about his newly installed bushnell 10x40 ...   it is not holding its zero compared to his iron sights         he is wondering if it is possible for him to return the scope to SWFA & have them replaced with a differend item ..maybe an Eotech & he will pay the additional cost.      have you also experienced same problems with 3200   10x40  mildots?    please help.   tnx

He should call and ask.  Often the problem is not the scope it is the type of rings and base that were used and how they were installed. Sometimes the problem is the shooter not holding the rifle still. If the scope was recently purchased it should be under warranty and the manufacturer would stand behind it making it work properly. If he bought it and simply realized he wanted something different it is not the fault of the place he bought it and since it has been mounted it will have ring marks on it and they would not be able to re-sell it as new. But you can always ask. I have bought scopes and mounted them and then not liked how they performed on a particular gun and put them on another or traded them in toward the purchase of another scope at a loss. Bushnell makes good quality optics so I would expect them to fix or replace the scope or at least test it to determine if something is wrong with it. I had a Nikon scope that I put on an Encore musket that shot all over the place - it wasn't the scope it was the barrel.
