I am looking at purchasing a Bushnell 3200 with the DOA reticle.  What is the skinny on the DOA reticle?  I have read where it is a love hate with this reticle.  I would like to hear from fellow shooters.
Is this line of DOA scopes worth a crap for the money?

The DOA reticle comes on several of the Bushnell lines. Trophy, 3200, 6500.....  I have looked through one but never used one and heres why.  Say you have a load you use in your gun that works, then say the DOA hold over points are for a different load? What then. Points wouldn't be on impact.  However, as long as you spend some time on the range and know what each hash mark will be, it would be ok.  Practice would be key to building a love relationship with the DOA like you say.  The ones that hate it have most likely not spent time learning it or have higher end options that work better.  (my 2 cents) Good luck though.

I have a 4-12X40 XLT DOA on my 25-06 and I like it so far.  I was set up at 100 yards the other day and shot using the 200 & 300 yard holdovers and they were pretty close according to the ballistics for the ammo I was using (within an inch or so).  I didn't spend too much time with it, but was fairly happy with the results.  I'll know more this week when I can get to the 500 yard range and really test it out.  The good thing about Bushnell is if you don't like the scope, you can always send it back and get something different.  I think anything with a DOA reticle comes with their BulletProof Warranty.
