What do you guys think of the Bushnell Banner line of scopes for a varmint scope?  I'm thinking about one in either the 4-12X40 or the 4-16X40 IR.  I'm not real big on the illuminated reticles, though.  I'm looking for an inexpensive scope for my Savage Model 93.17 HMR.  I currently have a Bushnell Sharpshooter 3-9X40, but I want a little more magnification for my old eyes.  I sometimes like to shoot ground squirrels out to about 100 yds. and I want to see them a little better.

If the price is not a problem the Bushnell 4200 scopes are outstanding for the money and most of us keep a scope for a long time ( I have a couple that I have had for 40 + years )

If the banner is what the budget allows it will actually be a pretty good choice. They are surprisingly bright and very repeatable for W&E, I have a buddy that uses one for varminting and thinks quite highly of it.
