Looking at Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x44 and Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x50. Both scopes seem impressive overall and a very good value. Question is are the elevation and windage knobs resettable to zero after inital zero of rifle? This applies to both scopes. It is so much easier to start comeups from "0" versus an odd number. Thanks in advance to whomever responds. I am going to put one of these scopes on a custom ar for targets and occasional varmints.

I recently contemplated over the same two choices and went with the 4200 due to better eye relief and FOV. There is also much more positive internet feedback available on the 4200. Edited by Boomholzer |

Rick, the adjustment settings can be reset on the Elite, however, I can't speak for the Nikon. Both scopes have very good optics for the money, but my vote goes to the Elite every time. With regards to your stated application, I would go with the Bushnell Elite 4-16x40. I think you will run into far less mounting problems on an AR.
