What are we shooting? Paper or varmints?

Bushnell 4200 in my opinion is a step above the Nikon Primos.

i have both scopes, now if you are using your 250 to shoot varmints the primos does have the bdc reticle. the 4200 imo, has better glass and rainguard so i guess it depends on if you want to substitute the bdc for rainguard or not. i myself like both scopes, and they are both excellent choices.

I also take the 4200 over the primos.

I agree the 4200 is a step above the primos  it more in line with the Monarch

I have and shoot 2 Monarchs.  One is on a Kimber 84M, the other is on my AR.  Love them.  I spoke to Nikon Sport Optics tech support today and they assured me the Primos 3-9x40 is a Monarch UCC that was discontinued.  It can be had for around $200.  Now, I have 3 Monarchs, it's a steal!
