Got a couple-- pretty good scope ,especially considering the cost ..search a little and they can be had around $170-$180. Step up to a 3x9 x40 4200 Elite for about another 100 bucks and yu'll have the best value out there. However, if the 3200 is about what you can or want to spend, and you will be well served.

the 3200 elite on ebay sold for $165 shipped...the nikon primos is $199 +shipping....I'm assuming about $10...seems to me the difference is about $45...is it that much better and explain why...bushnell has rainguard nikon doesn't....95% light with Nikon..Bushnell 90%
convince me one way or another please...I'm lost on what to do

well you seem to know what you want so i dont think i can convince you, i have a monarch and a 4200 elite and to be quite honest i cant really tell the difference between the two, so that right there tells me that other than the rain guard the monarch and the 4200 are equal, so if you want to compare the 3200 to a nikon scope its more comparable to a nikon buckmaster which is about the same price as the 3200 is.

The brownings were made by bushnell, they do not have rainguard feature.

The Brownings supposedly  have a little better light tranismission than the 3200 due to "proprietary coatings '

Problem is nobody really says what part 3200 and what part 4200 these browning scopes are. Since they are contract built the scopes can be different from the actual model they are patterned after. These nitrex scopes are no doubt good but there going to go thru different warranty channels than a bushnell for example. Contract scopes seem to be a growing business with everybody getting into the scope business, smith and wesson and browning are two examples of scope sellers already gone from the market.

Speaking of Browning.....didn't Chris Farris say in a thread somewhere that the Browning scopes were 4200 glass in a 3200 tube and style? If so, the closeouts that are happening now would be a good deal---except you'd have no warranty. (Well, I've bought truckloads of scopes over the years with no warranties. Does everything BREAK nowadays?! IS THIS THE END OF CIVILIZATION??)Fridge%20Smash Cussing  --Ed
