First off hello to everyone.
I've had my bushmaster ar15 for about two years now and I think it's about time to put a scope on it. I don't do any type of hunting , I mostly just target shoot at about 100-200 yards. I was looking at the Bushnell Elite 3200 , but I have no idea what kinda risers or rings I would need to get to clear the sight on the front of the gun.
I'll be removing the carry handle. If you guys have any suggestions on what type of scope I should get and what height rings I need, i'd greatly appreciate it. My budget for a scope is probably $300 max. Thanks

$300 budget and you like the 3200-that's fine - assuming yours is a flattop, perhaps a set of X-hi Burris Extreme rings and a 3200 2x7 would work |

I would get some form of removable mount but they aren't cheap. I haven't used the Burris below but something along those lines, and then save up for a decent flip up rear sight.
For a scope used for shooting at no more than 100yds I'd probably go low power. 1-4x, or 2-7x, but a good 3-9x night be fun and all are available in your price range.

It's a pretty new product, but a number of us regulars on this site came to the same tentative conclusion, based on it's appearance and Burris's good reputation for such things...
Certainly not a LaRue, but it IS only 69 bucks!

Nothing wrong with that!
Wring it out for awhile and be sure to let us know how you like it.
I've never been able to find as much firsthand info about the Firefly reticle as I would like.
Seems like a pretty good system...
