I am not real familiar with Burris. I was looking at the Elite 4200 but after reading this forum, now I'm interested in the Burris. I always wanted a Leupold but they are spendy. Is the Signature worth the extra money over the Fullfield 2?

it depends whick one, the the real only difference in preformance is going to be it will be a little birghter, but thats about it. if you want a leupold, you can always get the VXII, or look on the sample list, and get a used, returned, or demo VXIII, and you'll have the leupold you've always wanted.

Would the VX-II be comparable in quality to the 4200 or Fullfield?

it will be far surperior to the fullfield 2, and i bleave has better quality than the 4200, and it has THE BEST warranty in the business.

Hey otis...I have to respectfully disagree with redneck on this one.  The VXII will definitely not be superior to the Burris FFII in any way.  I have looked at these side by side and I can't tell any difference in clarity or brightness.  I've never had to use either warranty.  As I have said before, in my opinion Leupolds are overpriced and a poor value for dollar spent.  I'll stick with this opinion of mine until proven different.

Cory, even though the Burris FF2 is a very good scope, it is not in the same league as the Elite 4200's. The Burris Signature Select would be right up there, the VX-II cannot compete with the Burris SS and Elite 4200's. The " new and improved VX-3's" will compete in all areas except in their quality of glass.

thats what i was trying to say Roy, i wasnt saying the FF2 is in the same league as the 4200, becuase there's simply no way a FF2 is nearly equal to the 4200. but the VXIII is, and thats what i was mentioning.
