I know by reading on this forum that every one agrees that Burris Signature scopes are very good scopes. My question is this, are the new Signatures that much better than the old ones? Aside from changing the Turret location to a more central area and a few cosmetic changes are they really that different optically? Are the new Sigs any brighter or clearer and do the eyepieces give a bigger more comfortable view? What would be a good price to pay for an older but brand new Signature with posi-lock in 3-9x40? Are they hard to mount in a comfortable eye relief position and thats why they changed the turret location? thanks

To my knowledge nothing changed optically speaking with the Signature series scopes. The 3x9 Signatures have been dropped from the line but I have seen no heavy discounting to get the old stuff gone by anyone, I would say $300-$320 anything below that and you are getting one heck of a deal. I have one sig with posilock and it was agravating to sight in, point of impact would shift 1-inch up and left when I locked it causing me to have to resight again.  I have four of the old signatures and have had probably 4-5 more over the years and never had a problem mounting a single one with the off center turret. They are rare instances were someone would have to purchase extension rings and such. Hope that helps you!
