What do you prefer : Burris Signature Select 3-10x40 Ballistic Plex or the new Bushnell Elite 3-9x40 DOA 600?

Burris +

3.5-4 Eye relief which I feel is almost perfect for me

Long tube

Very good optics

Simple reticle

Rugged

48mm objective outside, perfect for my mounts

- no rainguard

- cost 459 dollars

Bushnell+

Rainguard HD

Very good optics (?)

Long tube

Less expensive, cost 330 dollars

Rugged

- perhaps a little bit short eye relief

-complicated reticle, many unnecessary lines covering the target

-? unknown diameter of the objective outside

I want a scope with BP, BDC sort of reticle. The outside diameter of the objective should not be more than 48mm.

I had a Bushnell Elite 3200 4-12x40 w/ DOA 600.  I got rid of it because I decided that I didn't like the DOA 600 reticle.  It's just too obnoxious for me.  Given those two choices, I would definitely go with the Burris Signature Select.

However, if it were me I would also consider these 3 scopes that are in the same price range as the Burris.  They have relatively subtle BDC reticles compared to the DOA 600.  I would probably go with one of them before I went with the Burris.  Just my opinion.

between those two choices, I too would go with the Burris.

I have had both, now I have several 4200's and no Signature Select. I do have a Burris FF2 that works well for the price, just didn't take to the SS.

I have a Burris 3X-10X-40mm Signature Select and I love the scope.  I has worked great.  Very rugged and repeatable.  I also love the reticle, it is very clean and simple, no clutter.  There is a picture of the scope on my Mato rifle in the firearms section under the Beretta Mato thread if you want to see how it looks mounted.
