Do the Signature Select scopes have a traditional power ring, or do they have the newer eyepiece power setup like some of the newer Burris scopes?  I am asking because I have an interest in the illuminated 1.5 - 6 power model and note the illumination switch is on the eyepiece.  I also prefer the traditional power ring setup because I like to use flip-up lens covers on all my scopes.

I believe Sig. Select scopes have the bulky analog switch on the eyepiece. The newer Euro Diamonds have the newer digital switch (button) on the side of the adjustment turrets. They also have the newer switches on the newer Illuminated Fullfield II illuminated models. As for as I know they all have the one piece power adjustment/eyepiece.

Sent Burris an email asking about it, so hopefully they will get back to me on Monday.

I bought a new 3-12 x 44 Sig Select in 2008. It has the  "turn the whole eyepiece power ring". Also it has no parralax adjust and is out of focus at 12 power at 100 yds so you can't sight it in at 12 power! It is longer than one would expect for the power too! Seems to track fair.

Beware of the Burris and Pentax "turn the whole eyepeice power ring". I have had two that would not hold zero and a friend has one with the same problem. Check for woble at the eyepiece, try to move the eyepiece up-down and side to side. This puts accuracy out the window. This is the greatest sin of all sins for scopes, failure to hold zero!

I have never had a problem with any of my Burris scopes, or any scope I have had that had a one piece power ring and ocular.

As for the illumination, I took a look at some of the older illum scopes today.  The old FF II illum with the illum knob on the eye piece, had a separate power ring.  The eyepiece did not move.  I am sure the Sig Sel with the knob on the eyepiece is the same way.

I have a fullfield 2 bought in 2008 that is this way also, it won't hold zero worth a crap! I put a 4200 on the rifle with no other changes, now it's a shooter!
