Ok Guys!!!........Just now received a call from a friend of mine, who today brought home his new M77 Ruger Frontier Mk2, 16.5" barrel (that damned COPYCAT), but in the 7MM/08!! No more 300 WSM`s in the Frontiers,,HA HA HA!!! He couldn`t copy me with that!!! He tried though!.........He prefers the scout scope set up mounted on the barrel. He has used my Frontier at the range with my conventionally mounted 4200..... He HAS NOT seen my Nikon Monarch 2.5x8 scout scope that I also use with my rifle. I don`t want him to copy me there either!!!............Since I have no experience with either the IER Burris 2.75 X 20 scout or the IER Leupold 2.5 FX11 scout, I told him that I would toss this out to all the boys in SWFA land!!!............Any experience out there using either one or both???? Thanks guys!!!

the leo is about 2 in. longer, and is not as critical of eye place as the burris, The burris however makes for shorter not over any receiver mounting. the leo is made a little better and the glass is a little better. both work well

I think both work well.  If memory serves me right, I liked the Burris a little more because it has a thicker reticle that is easier to pick up.

I have both Burris and Leupold in EER and a heavier reticle is easier to use in low light.
