Considering going w. either the 3-9x32 or 4-12x32 variable for my .22 bolt. Hvy for a rimfire scope at 16 oz., but I like the ballistic plex that I'm told goes out to 150 yds. Is the ballistic plex accurate, or would I do better with a Weaver 3-9x32 or the Leupy 3-9 EFR at 150 yds.  The AO goes down to a mere 7 yds. even on the 4-12 Burris, so I assume I could focus at that range as well. Right? Does anyone know the minimum focusing distance for the Weaver or Leupy?

The Leupold has the thin reticle and if you are using it for target that is okay. If for hunting in marginal light it is not. The focus range goes down to 10m.
The Weaver didn't show up on their web site.
I don't use the ballistic plex reticles, hopefully someone else can chime in there. Burris makes fine scopes, though. I have several FF's and Signatures and find them to have good glass and repeatable adjustments.

ive got a ffII with the ballistic plex on it and as long as your bullet's speed is real close to what the little sticker shows, you will hit at the elevation the stickers say you will, i have it on a 300wsm, and say i wanna shoot a 300yd shot i hold on the second bar down from the center line and i will hit like 6" high at 300 with a 100yd sight in, so they are fairly close all you would have to do is figure out how much hold over/under you need for a perfect hit.

Here's another option--

I use that scope on an AR, and it's my favorite ballistic reticle.
