How do the Burris German and Taper Plex reticles compare for ease of visibility both in lower light and/or against busy backgrounds, and also speed of target aquisition. I am looking at lower powered zooms for use from 50 to 200 yards on a 308. Thanks.

I have not used TaperPlex, but I have used German #4 and it is great in low light.

Taper Plex seems to be a little thinner, so I would expect #4 to be a better choicein low light.

The number 4 has less black mass.  Therefore you have the same amount of light transmision, but more useable area.
