I originally posted this in the rangefinder forum but thought it might get read here also...
Has anyone had the chance to use the Burris Laser Rangefinder Scope? I'd love to here reviews...especially from the optics experts of SWFA. What's the
verdict will it hold up in the field? How about the optics themselves? What are the pluses and minuses? How is as far as ease of use? What applications
would it be good for? Hunting, big game, varmint? How about as a possible tactical scope application?

I called Burris (Larry) yesterday and they said that the scopes are not released until January 2007. I questioned the rating for the temperature 14F to 120F, I know I would prefer a lower rating below zero.

So is SWFA advertising something for sale that they don't have?

It appears to be identical to the Nikon and Busnell offerings...must be made somewhere like Korea.

SWFA advertises products and places back orders so when the product does hit the market they have their order in first.  That means you get the product first.  Also if the product isn't advertised you wouldn't know that it  would be available to purchase.

I do not think Burris would have it made in Korea, I suggest you call and ask. As far as being the same as the Nikon and Busnell offerings I can not say.

thanks Marry for the input

A look at SWFA shows three products that appear identical... and Burris has made scopes abroad.

Littlebuddie if you look at my first post I was looking for information and now you seem upset about my observations I didn't mean to ruffle your
feathers. I'm sorry if I did.

Nikon, ushnell and Burris offerings do look the same.  I would expect the electronics to be the same in all three with different glass.  It is ver likely that hey are all assembled at the same factory.

We'll know more once they hit the market.
