according to burris's website none of the 4.5-14's are available in nickel finish, and i havnt seen them listed anywhere, so i doubt it. you might be able to get them to make you a custom one with a silver finish, i know leupold would, or atleast premier reticles would do a leupold vari-x III 4.5-14x40 A/O in silver, becuase i asked them about it. i dont think silver scopes look good on guns anyways.

Thanks for the reply redneck. Silver scope is just my personal preference. Take look at

this link and you will see my rifle. http://www.savagearms.com/16fxp3.htm It came

with a simmons 3x9x40, buy want another scope with a bit more power.

nice, but i wouldnt worry about more power in the scope as much as i would better qulity. what are you using this scope for?? i find that for big game even out to extreme ranges, 3-9x40 is more than enough, and there alot of quality scopes available in 3-9, and silver finish. check out the leupold VXII 3-9x40, and the burris FF2 3-9x40, they are both available in a silver finish.

I'm going to use it for Antelope, Mule Deer and Elk. I may need to make some 400 yrd shoots.

That's why I was going for stronger optics.

what caliber??? depends on what caliber you have, you may not need a ballistic reticle.

It's a 308. I prefer the ballistic reticle.

at 400 yards the trajectory on a 308 really is THAT much, but a ballistic reticle may come in handy if you dont want to estimate hold over. its your call, both are really good scopes.
