I own an older Burris Fullfield Model and it has a Pos-Loc and I don't see that mentioned on the current version of the FullField Models. So I am wondering if this feature is been discontinued. Also mine was to be a 3x9x40mm but when I got it it did not look to be a true 40mm and it fit inside the other 40mm Scopes I had then. So does Burris measure the housing and include the housing as part of the 40mm of the size of the objective? And since then have they changed the measurement to the actual 40mm as the objective size or is it still smaller in size? Just trying to get a true 40MM Objective? Is the new Fullfield Model a true 40mm or what size is the actually size? Just trying to compare apples to applesion objective sizing?
Any information would be helpful I am stilling looking at the differences in the brands before I buy one.
Thanks,

Also are the Burris Pos-Align Rings worth the $ and what base will work on a Remington Sportsman Model 78? I think it is close to the 700 ADL but not sure if it is the simlar and what Burris bases will work on this Remington? I like the fact they won't marr up the scope tube. This Reminton is in 30.06 caliber. My first and favorite Remington wished the Williams Twilight was still good and clear but it isn't. So I am looking at new scope for this rifle with rings and bases.

They enchanced it. The new Fullfield E1 riflescopes are a perfect example.
They took their popular line of Fullfield II riflescopes and gave them a
sleek new profile with upgraded windage/elevation knobs, a new integrated power
ring and eyepiece that will now accept flip-up lens caps. In addition, they
enhanced their precision and accuracy with the addition of their Ballistic Plex
E1 reticle. Until now this wind compensating reticle was only available on their
premium Six X scopes. The Ballistic Plex E1 etched reticle is another Burris
innovation that provides a simple, uncluttered method for determining both
trajectory and wind compensation. Combined with the Ballistic Plex E1 reticle,
it is a deadly combination.
Internally, the Burris Fullfield E1 scopes retain the features that Burris
Fullfield scopes are known for: Precision ground lenses are larger than
comparable scopes for better light transmission; index-matched lenses with
HiLume Storm multi-coatings; double internal springs and positive steel-on-steel
adjustments for repeatable accuracuy.

I can't help you with the measurements but another thing that Skylar mentioned is the Burris lense is 25% larger than other comparable brands in 40 mm. You might want to consider that in your comparison. You can go to the Burris website and it's in their technology section.
