I'm looking for opinions on the Burris Euros by folks who have actually used them. I know that they are clearance right now and am thinking about putting either the 1-4x24 or 1.5-6x40 on a new Ruger M77 RSI.

The only other Burris I have owned is a Fullfield (not Fullfield II) 1.75-5 that I special ordered with the P3#4 reticle and have always thought it had a good sight picture.

Thanks!

If you like the Fullfield you will love the Euro.  Of the two mentioned I would rather have the
1.5-6x40

I've got a 1.5-6x Euro on my 338Fed. It's a very impressive scope and if I had a need for another low powered variable, I'd grab one of the discounted ones in a heartbeat.

I have the 1.5-6x40 Euro with a 4A reticle and it is a very good big game scope for all covers and low light. The discontinued price is outstanding for what you get.

Euro Diamond is a good scope.  I would go with the 1.5-6 as well.

Thank you for the opinions! I just purchased the 1.5-6x40.

It was truly great to have honest opinions from those who have used the product instead of hearing from Burris bashers who have never used the product! Excellent

Now if only I had enough money for one of the 1-4x24 too...

I have  various brands of scopes including Burris. I've had good luck with Burris scopes. What's best, I don't know. In Colorado we can't hunt big game at night. It's 1/2 hour before and after sunrise-sunset.  I've looked through these scopes at night in my yard and some seemed a little better than others, but most I could have taken game with if it was legal to do so. At first I had a 2-7 Leupold on my 300 Weatherby, then I put 21/2-8 Leupold  for for elk hunting. I liked this scope better than the 2-7 and it fits the scabbard better than 3-9 scopes.
I have Burris scopes on 270 Win.. 270 WSM, 220 swift, 223 rifles.Yippee
