Just got off a really Awesome Call discussing the new Eliminator that may be coming out.... It's the Eliminator, Tactical Series!
What would you like to see in a Tactical Burris Eliminator and do you think it has potential? They've  been testing on a Barrett M107 with AMAZING Results!

Absolutely... Wind is in the equation! They aren't just trying to stick a Tactical label on it!!!! They are going OVERBOARD.... Sounds to me like the Glass on this thing is goin got be off the chart and they're listening to the users out there to make it as special as possible.... Burris is on the Ball!!!! They actually keep a close eye on the OT and really Respect your ideas and comments.

If it is really utilizing the 107, the laser must have gone on 'roids...1500 to 2000 yards range? Or were they recoil testing?

Yeah, there are a whole bunch of upgrades that scope is going to need to be of much use on such a rifle.

Well if any of the optics companies really listened we would be seeing digital based rifle scopes. Just imagine how much zoom even a cheap video camera has and take one with night mode that intensifies existing light then detach the viewer and helment mount it while the scope remains on the rifle that way you can hold it over something or around a corner and shoot from cover.   Remember when Captain Kirk flipped open his telecomunicator and said quick beam me up Scottie  - who hasnt had a flip phone.  Remember what digital did to film cameras -  the same thing is coming with scopes eventually it's just not cost effective for the low end users at this point.  On the flip side Burris is still on my S list as I have had problems with over 75 % of the products I have had from them most recent being the battery in the shotcam that wont hold a charge. The two surviving Burris products I own are  pistol scopes a 1X and a 2X

Didn't we make a whole bunch of suggestions to take back to Burris, I even called them about it and they said they were thinking about it...

I insulted them over the phone as I did the gentlemen who works for Burris repair department on this forum.

If they listened and started changing things I am in.

The bit about the GLASS is SHOCKING Shocked I will wait to hear reports before I Yippee.

The problem with digital based rifle scopes is that they are digital. the more reliant a piece of gear is on batteries the less relied on it is by any operators that might use it. I could certainly see it in the distant future after it proves its worth in harsh conditions with long brutal use. however the law enforcement community may have room for it before the military will. I also know that it practically takes an act of congress for a new piece of equipment to be contracted my the military especially in the Sniper Community. but the uses for a tactical line of "eliminator" scopes would be lethal in the hands of a hunter/marksman who understood internal/external ballistics and could read wind. I would be lying if I didn't say that it peaks my interest.
