I'm incredibly frustrated right now and would like to share my experience with Burris Customer Service.
First of all the scope in question is a 3-9x40 Fullfied E1. This was a new scope I put on my 1894 Marlin lever gun chambered in 44 magnum. I shoot cowboy loads and these are very light plinking loads. The scope broke in under 20 rounds of said ammunition. I was sighting it in at the range and all of a sudden neither elevation, nor windage adjustments did anything anymore. I was able to spin both turrets all the way in both directions with zero corresponding reticle movement. To say I was very annoyed, to put it politely, would be an understatement. I had zero problems with a 20 year old leupold on that rifle for the longest time but the E1 was much brighter which is why I wanted to try it. So anyways I packed it up, paid my $25 shipping and mailed it off. It was delivered at the beginning of May. The piece of paper you have to fill out said 4-6 weeks when not in hunting season, for turn around time. I thought to myself that this would be long back before my August black bear hunt would come up. Well as of today, August 15 I'm exactly 9 days away from my bear hunt with NO SCOPE. I have emailed them numerous times, with the standard: we will look into it and get back to you. Well they never get back to me. I'm constantly the one emailing them and get the same run around job. On July 30 I was again promised in an email that they would find out and get back to me. As of today, August 15, I'm still waiting for a reply. 13+ weeks and counting. I am now forced to buy another scope, sight that in and make sure everything is good to go as I simply can't wait any longer for Burris to fix (should never have broken in the first place) and return my scope, or I won't get that all done before I leave in a week. I am very angry at all of this and will NEVER buy another Burris product. When it does finally get here it's going up for sale and good riddance. /rant off. |

Wow...so sorry to hear of your problems.
Very few people on here seem to fool around with Burris much any more, or so it seems. Too many other options for folks to choose from I spect.

I have dealt with them once and had the scope back in three weeks. Had a friend borrow one of my Burris XTR scopes and broke the illumination. He sent it in and had it back in about a month. I havent had issues. They have always been polite on the phone an answered my emails in a timely manner.
