I ordered a Burris SpeedDot a few weeks ago from Midway USA a few weeks ago for a 10/22 project. They delivered quickly as always. I opened the box and found that the rings were missing the "clamps" or legs that go under the nut to hold the sight onto the rail.

I e-mailed Burris customer service with a detailed report of the missing parts, including the serial number of the unit under the bar code on the box. I told them I own a Burris spotting scope and a Fullfield II scope for my muzzleloader -- and that I expected a fast response and quick shipping. So far, there has been no reply to my e-mail and the message was not returned as undeliverable from MSN.

I then called them and talked to a young man. He said he was send a pair of rings "right out." It it has been over a week and no rings. I live in Sioux City, Iowa, not very far from Colorado. A guy told me that they could have been stolen in the mail because the packages have Burris Optics on them. This was a lame excuse and a reason for all businesses to use tracking numbers from a shipper.

I called them this afternoon and they could not find any record of the parts being shipped out to me and they did not look for my e-mail. I talked to a guy who transferred me to a woman who tried looking it up in the computer. I guess on the third try they are going to UPS Red me some rings.

What a Cluster Fxxx of a CS department.

I've been 'Burris-ed'.     Twice. Roll Eyes
They'll eventually get you taken care of, though. Every company makes mistakes, though. It's how they fix their mistakes that shows customers the real character of a company......
