I ordered the Burris 8X56 binoculars today. I have purchased other items in the past and have had great service.
I have been lurking on the opticstalk forum for several years, but never joined!!
The opinions have been helpful on many topics and will continue to read the various discussions.
Thanks,Excellent

I am still on the fence in regards to buying  the Burris 8X56.  Do you have yours yet?  What do you think?

I got mine the other day.  Now, only ones I have used regularly are some so old I dont even know what they are, and Burris Landmarks (got free with scope).  These are night and day difference, not sure how you could go wrong with the 8x56s for 199.  Again, I am no expert, but phenomenal visuals and great field of view.  The are not compact by any means, but not too large.

My back deck has a view of the rockies and looking at the mountains miles away with them brings them up close and sharp.  Glad I bought them.

Yes, these are signature select. I have other binoculars, but thought I could use these for this price.
I'm out of town for several more days and they should be there when I get home.
I have Swaro's slc 10X42, from when they first came out. About 1992-94, if I remember correctly.
I wouldn't think that these would surpass the Swaro's, and the Swaro's are lighter in weight, but on the 4 wheeler trips they should work really well. At least I'm hoping so.

I opened up the package last night @ 11pm. They look like they should do a fine job, but has been snowing  today, so I can't really check them out. The focus works well and I'm still waiting to try them out when it's not snowing!!

Well, I hope some here will report on how they like the Burris 8x56.  I also ordered mine today,
and they said they are in stock, and have some more.

This is a size I do not have, and hope they will do the job.

Hopefully some of you have looked through your Burris 8x56s. So how do you like them?

I have looked through mine. Very clear, and you can see at night with them. I prefer 10x myself, but these 8x are amazing because of the clarity. I was watching elk several miles away at last light a couple nights ago at -5 degrees. Never fogged getting in and out of the truck. They are an amazing buy at 199:
