Trying to decipher the ballistic mil dot trajectory labels that are provided for the 204 given a given load and bullet impact at various ranges.

The label suggest at a given fps that the 204 will impact dead on at ranges 100, 225, 350 and 450.  Assuming that is correct, if the crosshairs are dead on at 100 yd, will the other bars fall at dead on....

I know this reticle was designed behind the 22-250 and it has all the bars at dead on for the entire range, thru 700...

there are a lot of variables when determining bullet impacts at ever increasing distances. muzzle velocity probably the most difficult to predict. then there's altitude, barometric pressure, and temperature having the most influence. the only way to know is to shoot your gun, with your ammo, at the distances recommended and find out exactly where they impact. the distances given on the label will probably be fairly close, or might be off a few inches. just shoot a few times and you'll have the absolute confidence of knowing what distances they are "right on"

The way Dave described it is the best way to know exactly where your bullet is hitting.  You could run a ballistics program and match it that way, but that is still not as sure a method.
