Hello. I'm new to this board and just registered actually. I was doing some reading about scopes and came across this forum. I recently bought a Burris MTAC 4.5x-14x42mm. I put it on my AR-15 that I've spent about a year building on. I didn't know ,uch about Burris scopes when I bought it, but I read a whole lot and researched them quite extensively. To be sure, I have not been let down at all. I am very impressed with this scope and how it performs at the range on my AR. Lately, I've been shooting golf balls with a hole in the bottom attached to an unfolded metal coat hangar and shooting the ball at about 120-125 yards. It may sound like extreme bragging, but I can hit the golf ball every time now on the first shot. If the ball survives, I'll pop it a second time. My Burris holds its zero very, very well and once it's sighted in, it's good to go. I haven't shot farther than a tad over 100 yards yet, but I really want to and I want to see how the Burris holds up. I'd love to post a picture of my AR on here if it's possible to do so.
It's my first Burris and I would recommend one to anyone looking for a good reliable scope that costs less than comparable brands. Hope this helps.
I'd like to hear anyone else's experience, good or bad with their Burris if you'd like to share it. Thx.
