I have to post this to straighten out what I previously stated about this scope not holding it's P.O.I. I had it shooting really well on my 270 win on 6 power, then went to 9 power and it changed a bunch! I since mounted it on a 22 mag rifle and found it to hold it's P.O.I exceptionally well. did a five shot group on a nosler target on all 5 orange bulls eyes. 3 groups shot on 6 power all went in the orange, the last 2 groups at 9 power all went in the orange. sorry for bad mouthing this scope! Must have been a mounting problem-- too much torque on the ring caps!!? And this is one of the units that came with a free set of binoculars!

Those scopes are usually pretty reliable so I bet you are on the right track.
