I am interested in buying a Burisss Electro Dot for a Browning .22 long barell. The pistol has a rail base and a busnell rail 2x scope mounted.

I would like to know how to mount this scope onto the rail base of the pistol without any gunsmitthing.

Hel,p !!!!!!

If it is a Buck Mark with the integral rail any Weaver ring will work with that 1" scope. I would suggest the standard Weaver ring, BTW. They aren't pretty, but they have a wide base that clamps over the mount and they are very stable.
I like many Burris products but the Weaver Z ring is not one of them. The clamping area is small and I had a pair tip on the rail once. They need to re-design those.

Weavers work as a QD and the Warnes are high quality.

I have a busnell rail base receiver on the pistol - don't know which mounts will fit - don't know if the weavers 1" are deep enough to engage the groove on the Busnell Colt base fitted on the pistol

I guess I'm not understanding what model you have. Is it a Buck Mark with the rail? Or, do you have a Bushnell .22 rim fire add on rail. You would use standard rim fire dovetail mounts with these type of bases and there are many brands.

Have a Browning .22 with a busnell base receiver that can mount a rail scope. The base is about 1" high and 2"long. The rail scope slides into this receiver base.

So the new mount needs to clamp onto this base mount and an ordinary rim base will not be deep or wide enough. If you have an e-mail I can send you some photographs.

Thanx.

From what I can see you have a Browning Challenger. It is similar to a Colt Woodsman.

It is hard to tell from the photo, is there only one screw mounting this base? This mount is in place of the original iron sight which used one screw.
