hi all

this is more of a ballistics post

i reload sierra 69 grain hpbt .223

and zero at 100yards can you tell me what

the bullet drop will be at 300 yards and 600 yards

at 2700 fps 2800 fps 2900 fps

i am using a nikko 6-24x45 nighteater

with mil dot and at what mil dot will

this equal to

Assuming a sight height above bore of 1.5",1000 ft. elevation, 60 degrees, 200 yd. zero @ 2800 mv, u should be right around 0.8 mil 300 yd. zero, and 4.5 mil @ 600 yd.

I'm not at home now Neal, so i can't run it now, but if u have a mil-dot scope it's really gonna help u in the end to simply run your own trajectories, on some of the free downloadable ballistics programs. This way u can manipulate the scope/reticle/load to your own tastes. If u want tho-- let me/somebody here know, and we'll figure it out for u.
