Anyone have good info on where to purchase bulk ammunition for  my SOCOM II in 7.62 & .223 for my Colt AR? Looking for some degree of accuracy, if this is possible with bulk ammo.

Ok, I haven't tried this Canned Heat personally, but some other folks I know have tried the 5.56 and highly recommend it.

I'm not sure what degree of acurracy your looking for either.

Black Hills is exceptionally accurate ammo, but may be a little higher priced.

  Thanx,

I will give this a try; have tried Cabela's bulk and have not been impressed.

Me too!!

I tried the Cabela's "reloads" and went to a weapons course!!

Terrible ammo. Some of the cases weren't resized properly and jammed in the chamber on me during class.

Bulk 5.56mm ammo with "mil spec" type features, try the Canned Heat from Georgia Arms.

For more accuracy, go with Black Hills, Brother.

Got a good deal on Federal .223 at Sportsman's warehouse, $5 per 20 plus 5% for case discount....may not seem as cheap as mil-surp but I recently bought some Guatemalan 5.56 from aimsurplus and was not impressed by accuracy (the SA PMP stuff I'd been using was much better....consistently under 1 moa where the Guat was always a little over....plus the flash signature was unbelievable.....big yellow flash obstructing view in mid-day every time I pulled the trigger....definitely out as a coyote load).  I also bought Australian 7.62 from Aim at the same time but have not be able to test and compare to Radway Green....beware of shipping prices as you shop around, they can rapidly turn a good deal into not so great.

Quote the SA PMP stuff I'd been using was much better....consistently under 1 moa

Wasn't that stuff amazing? I shot an oval shaped 10 round group in fading light, with a light rain falling and variable breeze that I could cover with the tip of my thumb at 200 meters.

I only have 2 battle packs left. I am bumming that the supply dried up.
