Does anyone out there have a list or know where there is one of the the cryptic codes Buehler used on their bases? Some are clear lke "FN" but many are just two numbers that mean nothing to me...the guy who just bought a whole pile of NIB or ANNB Buehler bases. HELP!

Roy thanks
GE, E7S,36, TC (the C is backwards),66 OR 99,60 OR 09, K, 22, and 21.

The others are in marked boxes or have rational codes like "70" or "70S"

thanks, RMS

Some I don't see, however

E7S-Enfield (Remington 30 Conversion) 1pc base

36- Marlin 336, 1895, 444, 375

60- Remington 760, 740 and 742

99- Savage 99 all models

21- there are several #21's all have a -"S" or -"U"   the "U" is a 1pc Micro-Dial base for Remington 700, 721 and 725 and naturally the Weatherby Mark V and Vanguard

The "K" base is probably for Kleinguenther, that's a guess. They only list one base with a K designator

Is it possible the 22 is a SS? If that is the case it is for a Springfield 1906-03 A1

TC- could be for a Thompson Center, they made bases for them as well

I don't know if Bob Ray is still with us, he could be reached at 925-254-3201. He took over for M. Buehler. I spoke with him about 6 mons. ago to get some Husky bases

GE it turns out is a Gold Eagle which I think was a high style semi custom rifle made on an FN action. That is really testing my recall of 30 year old Gun Digests!

Thanks for your help, now I can put them on ebay. RMS

I recently purchased a used TC 21* carbine barrel that had a Buehler mount attached but although the screw holes, of which there are 3, match the holes in the barrel, the radius of the mount bottom does not extend for the entire length of the mount. Approx. 3/4" of the muzzle end of the mount is flat. The mount is stamped TC on the bottom. Does anyone know what TC barrel this mount fits? Possibly an octagon barrel?
Thanks - Stan

Welcome to OT, Stan.
I can't answer your TC barrel compatibility question, but Buehler scope mounts are no longer manufactured. They ceased operations a few years ago, and this thread topic is from 2007.

I don't know which TC barrel you have, but it sounds to me like you may have mounts intended for the TC Contender on a TC Encore. If you're looking for mounts for this barrel, I would call the good folks at Talley Mfg. and ask them for assistance in selecting the correct mount.
