I know this is nowhere as good as the top end scopes discussed here but I can get this for a song.  It is new.

My question is on tracking and repeatability .  This will go on a 223 varmint.
Anyone tested this?
What say you?

You bet!  Good to go!

Had one on a .300 RUM and it held up great. Wish I had it back.

My 4.5-14x Buckmaster has consistent tracking at least to 300yds. It's on a Rem 700 SPS-V.
It's a capable scope. Only downside is the tunnel vision, but its clarity and depth of field are pretty good.

It's similar to that pic posted above, but with a round black ring instead of a box. It is not a factor of eyebox. Wherever your eye is in the field, it's more or less the same.
This Buckmaster  4.5-14x design has a long tube, and uses some sort of field stop to enhance depth of field (how long a portion of your viewing field is in perfect focus) and to reduce optical aberrations. The tradeoff is reduced apparent field of view-aka tunnel vision. True field of view-how much the scope can see at a given distance- is unchanged so far as I can tell.
