I have been using a 3-9x40 for years. I need another scope for a "new" older rifle I picked up.  I am trying to decide between another Buckmaster, or a Team Primos at SWFA for $199.  Is the Team Primos signicantly better?

Welcome to The OT.

I agree with Martin and Tip.
Better glass with the Monarch and if the BDC reticle is not too busy for you, the Primos is an absolute steal at that price.

Absolutely great glass for the price. If the reticle suits you, it is an outstanding deal. To get this quality can easily cost $400+ in other brands.

I think you'll be OK with the BDC and the better Monarch coatings.

It's not a laser etched, German #4, but the BDC is a decent wire reticle and will accommodate most big game hunters, even in relatively low light.

I definitly like the BDC concept. I just haven't had the chance to handle one myself.
