Hey eveyone,
So I bought a BSA TW4X30 on Amazon as a very first scope (http://www.amazon.com/BSA-Tactical-Weapon-Mil-Dot-Reticle/dp/B002KCZ61O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361730095&sr=8-1). When I received it, I noticed that the reticle was canted maybe 2 degrees counterclockwise (I used a level on the elevation turret to be sure). I don't know enough about scopes yet to determine whether this is to be expected in a scope of this class or not. So I am turning to you all for advice. Is this canting to be expected? Would I just get approximately the same thing if I exchanged the scope? Will this affect accuracy? Thanks in advance for everyone's input! |

YES to all questions. Sorry Dude, but that is why BSA is not usually recommended...

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Yeah, but I'm completely new to this. I only found this forum after I bought this scope. Anyway, I had to start somewhere and this BSA scope wasn't expensive. Now I know.
So, when I'm ready to graduate from this first scope, what scopes would be good to check out for someone on a very limited budget? Thanks for the input! |

Honestly, if money is tight, features and gizmo's are your enemy! The long-range, tactical style scope begins with the SS10x in my humble opinion. At $300 it offers glass and reliability on the same level as scopes costing twice to three times as much.
