Pigs are overtaking my deer lease.  Got a BAR in .270 so I can get more than one at a time.  My longest shot might be out to 400 yards.  Any suggestions?

A bag of corn, some apples, and onions!  Find a reastruant or grocer that will let you have garbage from the produce. Then a couple of weeks later some open pit:)

Get a 1.5-6x something or other w/ German #4 reticle and non- critical eye relief, then ask us all over...

Something like BAR Pigs and Beer.

I have very good results with a Leopold 2.5 to 8 here in CA. Ranges from 25 to 300 + but most are shot at under 100. I like the low power because we caan get close sudden shots.

The extra low power is nice for "close encounters" and if you have to shoot at one on the run, and you will after the first shot.  If extreme low light is not anticipated, a $200 scope should be fine. I like my burris fullfied II, but one test here liked the vortex better.  For the really low light, the pros say the the trijicon 2.5x10-56 is the best.  I am not a an optics pro, but have been setting up a simlar gun hogs as they have become are real problem lately.  I am getting the trijicon 3x9-40, to save weight, cost and my night shooting light needs a 1" tube.
