I think I would have gone to the hospital before that.  I have heard they are nasty little bites that eat away the flesh.  Thankfully we don't have them in Montana, just a few black widows.

I have two friends who have been bitten.  Both had significant tissue loss.  The brown recluse is not something to fool around with.

This lady lives close to us.
She thought her spider came from down south in a load of construction lumber if memory serves me.
Click your way around the site to see some hideous things.

I think maybe God let Satan design this creature for some reason unknown to us mortals...

I think that might have been photoshopped.  Those brown recluse can cause some serious infected wounds with a lot of tissue loss, but that guy, if it's true, must not have followed up with his doctor.  All that black tissue should have been debrided a long time ago.

The treatment of that spider bites have a much higher success rate if treated within one hour. If you have a bite go immedately to the ER and tell them what bit you, the longer you wait the more tissue you will lose.

The Brown Recluse is a bad mamma jamma!!!!!!! There are worse cases than what you see here, and alot that aren't this bad. I have been bitten by them in the past and it has never looked that bad. Yeah it gets ugly and it does hurt a pretty fair amount too.
