This is my second scope that I have had problems with from SWFA.   Today while mounted on a savage 10fp 308, the actual windage leveling piece that the turret sits on and covers came loose, now it's all fugged up.  Scope is the SS 10x42, this was it's second time out, any advice on how to fix this pos, or is this typical?

Send it back to SWFA, they'll take care of you, though your likely to get a better response with a positive attitude.

Oh im fine with the Super Sniper series, the first one blew out from my barrett 50, this one still works fine I just dont have the windage deal in the center now it must have come unglued.  Anyone ever have this problem?  wonder if I can just super glue it back in place

You gotta be a little more specific than calling it the windage deal.  Did the screws just come loose so the knob came off or what?

Are you possibly talking about the windage adjustment screw?  I would REALLY LOVE to see a picture of whatever it is you are talking about.
I'm not sure how one would "level" windage.

Are you talking about the line that is used as an indicator mark, your description has us all confused.

I think the OP may be referring to the windage scale. The hollow cylinder that marks how many MOA the windage knob has been turned. Am I correct? Some clarification please.

Exactly, its the metal piece that has the indicator lines on it that the turret sits on

So looks like a common problem, found this this below, this scope is about 3 months old total

Quote T.A.Sharps,

Are you referring to the trim ring that has the index hash marks on it? If so it has nothing to do with how robust the scope is and is not a crucial part of the scope it is simply a cosmetic ring that displays the index mark. We did have a batch where all of the trim rings used on all three turrets did not get enough glue and it was addressed with the factory.

I’ll make the same deal with you as I did docv_73 if you would prefer a rear focus.
