Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site and hope that someone can assist me please.

I have a set of Minolta binoculars, and noticed today that they suddenly have adopted double vision.  They arent the most expensive in the world (cost about £110), but they are lovely to use.

My first thoughts is that someone in the house may have used them, and dropped them while I was out.  But, with this warm weather, and the binos being in the conservatory, is it possible that the heat has caused the damage?

So, then next question is ... is it worthwhile getting them repaired?

Any info is appreciated
Gordon

Thanks Bird Watcher for your info and to all those that looked at my post.

I have now found the culprit ... the least said about that, the better!!!  Suffice to say that 'after a tipple or two', it seems that walking into the conservatory door rather fuddled her brain and she forgot to say that the binoculars had been knocked off!

I only found this out after a thorough inspection of the binoculars, and noticed that one of the legs was pointing in ... it had jumped a thread.  So after unscrewing, then carefully screwing back in place, it seems that all is now well again.

Once again, Thank You all.

Regards
Gordon
