Does anyone know how long it will be before the sightron big sky 6x42 becomes available?  I have a bad itch for this scope.  I just dont know how l can wait without buying something else.

Ive been too close to hitting the buy button on that IOR too many times, I have the IOR 4x32 on my wifes a-bolt micro and its great.  It's a little more than I want to spend on a scope for this rifle though and I already have a set of S&K bases and 1" rings for it.  The S&K rings are amazing by the way.  I really want to wait it out for the BS if its not going to be a long time.  My other sightrons have served me well and I'd like to give the new ones a try.

That FFII is a nice little scope, but Sightron Big SKy has a pretty significant advantage in optics.

ILya is right about the optics each will bring to the table........I will only say that sightron is having some new model problems with a lot of the new big skys and some aren't working as well as planned. I just bought a 4x16 big sky and it was a real dud right out of the box, talked to several guys tight with sightron, and they are having some......shall we say new model bugs to work out. I think they will be great when they get everything straight.....optics and plex reticle are very similiar to the 4200 bushnell, with longer, more constant eye relief.
