I want to buy a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 that will sometimes be used in low light hunting. I wanted to know which Zeiss reticle is better in low light, the Z-plex or the #4?

The #4 reticle is recommended quite often on here for low light use.

I would go with the #4 myself.

I would go with the #4 as well, however, I do like Zeiss' Z-Plex better than many plex reticles because the outer bars are a little thicker than some others.

Thanks everyone. Both reticles seem good to me but the #4 does have thicker bars.

I've got a conquest 3x9x40 with the #4 and it is very good for low light.  Much heavier than the plexes on my Nikons, Leupy's, Burris's, Pentaxes and even heavier than a heavy plex Lightseeker.
